Eran joined Ilan Orly & Co. in 2003 as an associate lawyer and became a partner in 2010.
Eran has gained extensive seamanship experience during his years of service as a senior naval officer (Commander [Naval]), commanding of a fleet of patrol vessels (OPV) in the Israeli Navy, and during the subsequent 7 year period, when he worked as a yacht Master.
Eran’s main practice is Shipbuilding Contracts, Yachts and Mega-Yachts, Admiralty law and practice, Marine Insurance, Ship- Finance and Salvage.
Eran’s advises clients on issues in relation to the above, in particular with drafting of Charterparty, Shipbuilding contracts, Sale and Purchase, Ship-management and Ship-broking contracts.
Eran also handles marine insurance claims, acting for both Ship/Yacht Owners and Underwriters, and in particular on H&M issues, Seamanship, Collisions and 3rd party liability (TPL).
Eran leads the firm’s growing division dealing with Yachts and Mega-Yachts, providing the Owners/Charterers/Operators a “one stop shop” covering all required aspects of legal services such as S&P contracts/Shipbuilding contracts, registration, financing, manning, statutory compliance, commercial management and operation, insurance, contentious and non- contentious matters.
